SALES & OPERATIONS ASSISTANT MANAGER

SALES & OPERATIONS ASSISTANT MANAGER

Full-Time, Year-Round | Invermere, BC | $23–$28/hour

Position Overview

ION² Progression Suspension is looking for a Sales & Operations Assistant Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day front end of our growing specialty suspension business.

This is not your typical retail job. You might be helping a rider choose the right suspension option, coordinating service work with our technicians, processing an online order, updating inventory or helping one of our dealers.

We’re looking for someone who likes bikes, likes people, enjoys getting things done and is comfortable spending a good part of the day working on a computer.

You don’t need to know everything about suspension. We can teach the technical side. What matters is that you’re interested in the industry, eager to learn, organized, calm and comfortable taking ownership.

ION² continues to grow, including our role as the Canadian distributor for EXT Suspension. For the right person, there is strong opportunity to grow with the business and take on more responsibility.

Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

  • Be a primary point of contact for customers in person, by phone and email

Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate services, suspension products, parts and upgrades

  • Process orders, payments, credits and refunds
  • Handle routine customer concerns independently and escalate technical, warranty or unusual situations when appropriate
  • Learn our products and services to provide knowledgeable sales support

Service & Shop Coordination

  • Manage service scheduling, drop-offs, mail-in services and pick-ups
  • Coordinate workflow and priorities with our technicians
  • Monitor job progress and keep customers informed
  • Help maintain smooth communication between customers and the technical team

Website, Inventory & Orders

  • Process and manage online orders
  • Maintain website product information, pricing and availability
  • Receive and organize incoming inventory and flag reorder needs
  • Assist with inventory counts, shipping, receiving and purchasing as required

Dealer, EXT Canada & Administration

  • Support dealers with routine EXT Canada inquiries, pricing, availability and orders

  • Process customer and dealer invoices and routine QuickBooks entries

  • Assist with daily sales/payment reconciliation and outstanding invoice follow-up

  • Maintain an organized showroom and front counter

  • Help execute the operational side of promotions and marketing initiatives

Continuous Improvement

We’re constantly looking for better ways to work. We want someone who will notice repetitive or inefficient processes, bring forward ideas and help us implement new systems, procedures and technology.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Experience in customer service, sales, administration, operations or a similar role

  • Organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing changing priorities

  • Calm under pressure and comfortable making routine decisions independently

  • Strong computer skills and comfortable learning new software

  • Comfortable using or learning AI tools to help improve productivity and day-to-day workflows

  • Shopify and QuickBooks experience is an asset, but not required

  • Passion for bikes, riding or the powersports industry is strongly preferred

  • Bicycle, suspension, powersports or outdoor-industry experience is an asset

  • Post-secondary education in business, operations or a related field is an asset; equivalent experience will be considered

  • English required; French is an asset

Key to Success

If you like every day to look exactly like the day before, this probably isn’t the job for you.

ION² is a specialty suspension shop where customers, bikes, vehicles and problems rarely arrive in neat little boxes. We’re constantly adapting, learning and finding better ways to do things.

The right person enjoys that variety, stays calm when the day changes direction and gets satisfaction from turning controlled chaos into a smooth-running operation.

You’ll fit well here if you take ownership, enjoy helping people, like keeping things organized, are comfortable working on a computer, bring forward ideas and actually enjoy bikes and the industry we work in.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time, year-round, approximately 37.5 hours/week

  • Primarily Monday to Friday with some seasonal change

  • $23.00–$28.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

We’re open to someone with less direct industry experience who has the right attitude, skills and potential to grow into the position.

Benefits

  • Health benefits

  • Industry perks

  • Training provided

  • Staff rides and a relaxed, bike-focused team culture

  • Opportunity to develop extensive suspension and industry knowledge

  • Strong opportunity to grow with ION²
