Coil-like control. Air-spring tunability.

Built for Enduro, E-Bike and DH.

The EXT ARIA V2 takes EXT’s unique air-spring technology and pushes it further with a completely redesigned platform for Enduro, E-Bike and Downhill use.

At the heart of the ARIA V2 is EXT’s patented AS3 dual-positive air chamber system. Instead of relying on one positive air chamber and volume spacers to control the entire spring curve, ARIA uses two independently tunable positive chambers. Think of it as having one spring controlling the beginning of the travel and another shaping the mid-to-end stroke.

The result? Excellent small-bump sensitivity, strong mid-stroke support and controlled progression on hard hits, without forcing one compromise across the entire travel.

For V2, EXT also focused heavily on reducing friction, improving reliability and making the shock compatible with more frames. Updated seals, an internally lubricated DU bushing and revised air volumes help the shock move more freely through its travel, while the more compact layout and vertical reservoir create additional installation options.

More control from the air spring

The patented AS3 system uses two positive air chambers plus a large self-activating negative chamber. Unlike traditional volume-spacer tuning, changes can be made to different portions of the spring curve without dramatically changing the way the shock behaves everywhere else.

That gives riders much more control over:

  • Initial sensitivity and traction
  • Mid-stroke support
  • End-stroke progression
  • Bottom-out resistance
  • Ride height and support
  • Setup for different rider weights and leverage curves

ARIA V2 can also accept volume spacers when additional spring rate is required, allowing heavier riders or shorter-stroke applications to achieve the support they need without relying solely on extremely high air pressure.

Hydraulic Bottom-Out Control

EXT’s HBC Hydraulic Bottom-Out Control adds position-sensitive damping near the end of the stroke.

As the shock approaches full compression, a secondary piston enters a dedicated hydraulic circuit, progressively increasing resistance. This allows the shock to run more sensitively through the majority of its travel while still delivering serious support when things get ugly.

On the ARIA V2 DH, the HBC system has been specifically optimized to act over a larger portion of the stroke and generate greater force for downhill use.

Reduced friction. More sensitivity.

One of the major development priorities for ARIA V2 was reducing stiction.

EXT redesigned the sealing system, optimized seal materials and repositioned the DU bushing internally where it operates directly in oil. Less drag means the shock can respond more easily to small terrain inputs while remaining more consistent deeper into the travel.

Fully adjustable damping

ARIA V2 features independent:

High-Speed Compression
Low-Speed Compression
Rebound

The compression adjusters use the same architecture as EXT’s V4 shocks and can be adjusted using common 5 mm and 4 mm Allen keys, so there’s no need for a proprietary adjustment tool.

The Enduro/E-Bike version also includes EXT Lok 2.0, using a dedicated circuit with its own tunable shim stack rather than simply closing the main damping circuit.

Built for consistency

Inside, ARIA V2 uses EXT’s EV2S damper fluid, developed from EXT’s off-road and WRC programs.

Its extremely high viscosity stability helps maintain consistent damping behaviour as temperatures rise during long, hard descents. The formula is also designed to reduce foaming, compressibility and stick-slip behaviour.

Enduro / E-Bike or Downhill

Choose the version that matches your bike and riding:

ARIA V2 Enduro / E-Bike
Designed for aggressive trail, enduro and E-bike riding, with Lok 2.0 and a broad range of sizes from 185 mm trunnion through 250 mm standard configurations.

ARIA V2 DH
Developed specifically for downhill use with revised HBC tuning for increased end-stroke support and available in longer gravity-focused sizes.

Both versions use the same core AS3 air-spring technology, low-friction architecture and EXT damping platform.

Included 600 PSI Shock Pump

Every ARIA V2 includes EXT’s dedicated 600 psi high-pressure shock pump, featuring a dual-barrel design, braided high-pressure hose, large pressure gauge and micro-adjust bleed valve for precise 1–2 psi adjustments.
