Cane Creek is proud to introduce the new Air IL shocks (G2, Next Gen) packing class-leading performance in a smaller and stronger package. IL shocks feature class-leading externally adjustable DB Twin Tube technology for the widest range of 4-way damping adjustability on the market.
The AIR IL now feature a thicker inner damper tube for increased strength and a 17mm reduction in overall width on the valve body to increase fitment possibilities on tight frames.
AIR IL features a 6mm reduction in the outer diameter of the Air spring to further increase the likelihood of fitment while increasing the max psi pressure up to 350psi (Up from 300psi). Coil IL features added detents on the preload collar allow more precise preload tuning.
Four-Way Independent Adjustment
Built with Cane Creek DB Twin-Tube Technology, the next generation of IL shocks have the widest range of damping adjustability on the market – designed to bring a new level of control to XC and Trail Bikes. The Air IL provides riders with accessible external adjusters that control the shocks’ High and Low Speed Compression and High and Low Speed Rebound.
The DB Twin-Tube four-way control of the Air IL allows riders to make quick trail-side adjustments to increase pop, improve plushness or add support to their ride.
Climb Switch & Integrated Tool
Four-way adjustability becomes even more accessible with the new integrated tool nested in our CS (Climb Switch) lever.
When engaged, the low-speed damping is changed with a set of internal “climbing circuits.” We tune these circuits specifically for the demands of off-road climbing to achieve improved pedal efficiency with less chassis motion. Unlike other climbing platforms, our CS feature adjusts both low-speed compression and rebound.
New Air Spring + Compact Design
The redesigned Air Spring on the Cane Creek Air IL was developed to enhance the overall ride characteristics while reducing the physical size of the shock. The new compact design and increased MAX to 350psi results in an air spring that fits more bikes and more riders.
Structural Durability – Assembled by Hand
Cane Creek’s engineers have upgraded the all new Air IL with thicker inner damper tubes for increased strength and resilience from forces that the shock has to withstand while being ridden hard. To ensure maximum quality control and performance each and every Cane Creek rear shock is hand assembled and individually dyno tested in our Western North Carolina facility.
Double Barrel Twin Tube Technology
Exclusive Twin Tube Technology circulates oil continuously through the damping valving to achieve highly controllable, independent damping for both compression and rebound strokes. This unique design moves oil through externally adjustable valving instead of the main piston, allowing for superior tunability and eliminating the need for internal valving changes to achieve proper shock setup.
